Move, Mingle & Feel Good
Were filling the month of June with a variety of FREE Fun, social, and engaging activities designed to promote wellbeing and community connection amongst our members.
ALL the below activities are FREE to attend and are hosted by qualified Practitioners.
Places are limited for each class and scheduled time slot, and bookings are essential.
All activities & events can be booked by calling the Club.

Chair Yoga is a gentle and accessible form of yoga performed while seated or using a chair for support. It focuses on improving flexibility, balance, mobility and relaxation through simple stretches, breathing exercises and light movement, making it suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

Balance and Stability classes are designed to improve coordination, strength and confidence in movement through gentle exercises that focus on posture, core strength and balance control. These classes help support mobility, reduce the risk of falls and enhance everyday movement, making them suitable for all fitness levels, particularly older adults or those returning to exercise.

Join the team from Silverchain for an informative Falls Prevention Workshop focused on helping older adults stay safe, active and independent. The session will cover practical strategies to reduce falls risk, improve balance and mobility, and build confidence through exercise, home safety tips and healthy lifestyle habits. Participants will also gain valuable advice from health professionals on maintaining strength, wellbeing and independence in everyday life.

Winter Floral & Art Therapy Workshop

Enjoy a relaxing and creative Winter Floral & Art Therapy Workshop featuring a live floral arranging demonstration using locally foraged winter greenery and seasonal textures. Participants will then take part in a guided drawing session inspired by the beautiful still-life arrangements. A wonderful opportunity to unwind, learn something new, mingle and meet new people in a welcoming and social setting.

As you get older, changes in your lifestyle and appetite
can affect the type and amount of foods you like eating.
You may not feel as hungry, have trouble chewing or
swallowing or may not be able to buy food or make
meals as easily.
When you eat less you may not be getting the nutrients
you need which can impact your health and wellbeing.
NSW Health will present an array of information to help you age well, by showcasing healthy recipes and how to read food labels.

Emergency Response Plan & use of an AED

This non-accredited workshop provides an introduction to CPR techniques and how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), helping participants understand the important steps they can take while waiting for emergency services to arrive. A valuable and informative session for anyone wanting to feel more prepared in a medical emergency.

Barefoot Bowls function times available all week long. Give the club a ring or drop in and we will get you set up. We have 2 x greens so even if we have club games on we can fit your group in.
